introduction
Woods End is an elegant Detached Family Home, traditionally furnished to a high standard with a relaxed cozy and quiet atmosphere. There are rooms available for Bed & Breakfast or on a Self-catering basis. Good access to M62 Motorway, ideal base for West Yorkshire's commercial centers. Very close to "LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE" country and only 3/4 hr from the Yorkshire Dales.

Telephone, or Email to enquire for availability, no on-line booking. Credit Card payment facilities available. Connected to www.pennineyorkshire.com and we have our own website www.the-woods-end.couk where there are photographs to preview the accomodation.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Well lit private off-street tarmac parking area for 2/3 cars located at the front of the property. There is no charge for parking. No sign outside, follow house numbers to identify, official star rating sign located in glass porch area. No problem with rear access to vehicle once parked. Assistance with un-loading.

Main Entrance & Reception
Side hung solid wood door at front entrance, can drive & park right up to entrance. Level drive at same level with front entrance. Assistance provided with unloading luggage etc, doorbell on right-hand side of door at shoulder level. Pad & pen available on arrival. Security lighting & front porch light. Good size entrance hall, one level throughout the ground floor. Main entrance keys and room keys given to all guests on arrival with explanation about locking the door at all times for security reasons. Additional front door key can be provided on request. Seating available in entrance hall. Familiarization tour given.

Public Areas - General (Internal)
No Lift, stairs only 1 staircases to different areas of accommodation), 1 bedroom on ground floor, 3 bedrooms on 1st floor. Emergency procedure in place. On request, there is a large dining room available for study or to relax in where a television is provided. One step down to small level attractive rear garden with patio/decking area to use on request. No sitting room but all rooms offer an easy chair to relax in, television, radio, kettle/toaster/microwave/mini fridge(for diabetics to store insulin). An i-pod/mp3 player docking station/alarm clock, free wi-fi connection. Carpets in all bedrooms, non-slip laminate floor in en-suite bathroom to twin room. No public telephone. Handrails on staircase. Spacious landing area with handrail all round. Grab handles in shower/WC in twin room, other rooms will be modified in due course. Security lighting around property.

Pubic Areas - WC
2 rooms have en-suite, 2 rooms with shared facilities. There is no downstairs WC except in the en-suite double room. Smoke/Heat detectors/extinguishers in all public areas and bedrooms. Fire extinguishers on landing and in Kitchen area. Plan and fire escape routes clearly marked on inside of the doors in every room. Carpet in main hallway, carpet/rugs in main breakfast room. Non-slip laminate floor in dining/kitchen.

Dining Room/Kitchen area lighting
Dining/kitchen is well lit with spotlights. Dining room lighting is warm & inviting mainly lit with soft table lamps & wall lights, brighter lighting is available. Large table seats 10 available for small meetings in the dining area. Carpet & rugs. From time to time we can provide evening meals on request, we have no alcohol license. Both areas are accessed directly from the entrance hall. All areas are strictly non-smoking by law.

A laundry service is available on request and will be charged extra on top of your room charge.

Outdoor Facilities
A pleasant secluded garden area with Patio & Decking area. Garden furniture provided. Occasionally we serve breakfast outside, weather permitting.

We do have a small meeting room available on request with an extra charge (max 10 people). Details can be found on the accomodation page

Bedrooms
we have 1 ground floor double en-suite bedroom suitable for wheelchair users. It is in close proximity to front entrance, there are no steps to it, or the en-suite. A wheelchair is able to access the bedroom easily, but it would not be possible to maneuver a wheelchair in the small shower/wc room area as there would not be enough space. The wc/shower/washbasin is approx 3 meters from the bedroom. All bedrooms are fitted with smoke detectors.

Bathroom, Shower-room & WC (en-suite or Shared)
2 rooms en-suite are 2/3 meters from beds. Twin has non-slip laminate floor, the other 2 are carpeted. Double room with private bathroom, has the largest bathroom, both the other en-suites would not be large enough for wheelchair access. Accessed by hinged doors. Showers with fixed movable door entry, bath available in shared bathroom. Thermostatic mixer on showers at shoulder level, large control, easy to use, separate hot & cold taps on bath. Support & grab handles and heated towel rail in en-suite twin room.

Self-Catering Kitchen
Ground floor room has small Kitchenette incorporating, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery/cutlery provided. No steps or ramps. Larger self-catering apartment, has kitchen facilities on the ground floor, incorporating, hob/oven/microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster small kitchen table, crockery/cutler provided. Good storage & work surface area spot lighting, staircase from kitchenette area to bedroom/bathroom area.

We are continuously upgrading our facilities to provide you with the highest quality for that extra special stay. We will be updating 2 of our bathrooms in the next 12 - 18 months with more disabled facilities.
